Following a recent outbreak of the Warp Plague in the Slums, Corporate forces under the behest of the Imperium quarantined the area and slaughtered all of the inhabitants. This is foolish in the extreme, for within the Federal systems, while quarantine would be rightly be enacted, the needless slaughter of it's citizens would never happen. This is simply further example of the Imperium's callous disregard for human life or safety, not least to say such actions are counter-productive to preventing further Warp Plague outbreak.
Now, Federacy News can report that the Imperium has allowed the resettling of Dirtsides "Slums", the poorest and most desperate risking infection in the hope of a better life. Local reporters have further found that gangs have accompanied the settlers, extracting extortion credits from the locals. We can exclusively report the identities of these gangers. However for more detailed analysis of these belligerent's you can learn more on tomorrows data burst
The Penitent Ones have sworn themselves on a maniacal penitent crusade into the slums of Zone 7 and have take over the "Throughpass", treacherous wastes that are largely uninhabited. Word has it that they've visited "Honest" Hans, a suspected Magos runaway. Lastly at least 3 Cawdor settlers have been seen working the Slag Heap at the behest of the Penitent ones.
One group of fanatics believing a false faith was not enough, the High Church of Saint Hennin, have sworn a crusade to reconsecrate Zone 7 to the little known "Saint" with blood and fire. Sledge and Lyon is where they are rumoured to have setup their base. They have sent workers to "assist" Mom and Pop Potts and Soylent Ltd. Federacy News gained a quote from an Algae farm worker "We hate the Cawdor, always acting high and mighty, they're treat like shit like the rest of it but pretend it smells like Amasec, pricks". Lastly a number of their crusaders have set up residence in the Dead Steel Narco Den - surprising considering their notorious puritanical natures, simply shows that the Cawdor are hypocrites as well as fanatics.
A gang calling themselves The Protomen have taken over the Dome fighting pit, Crashers Cards and Craps, and Orsons industrial Ore. Apparently the Proto men are fringe elements of House Van Saar, determined to find a cure to their inherited illnesses, as well as produce innovation of combat tech. Hopefully the hide bound Imperial Adeptus Mechanicus do not find out about this "Tech Heresy".
A group of "Natives", elusive individuals who do not recognise the authority of the Imperium over "their" world have declare vengeance upon those that have killed their families. The Seven Skinners have attacked and already taken Maggers Rest, using the Crawlspace Needleways to launch a surprise attack on the Toll Road, slaughtering any who would not pay tribute, without Orlock heavies to stop them, the Seven Skinners appear intent on stopping Imperial road tolls into Dirtside.
Speaking of Orlock, the Metal Heads a ferocious road gang have who reports say have come from a long journey guarding road convoys, have setup in the Zone 7 Tenements, Road side Rest becoming their regular drinking hole, collecting protection money from the residents. Rumour has it they gained access to this route, avoiding the Seven Skinners by way of the disused Sewer works.
With these new warriors in Zone 7, what hope is there for a better life for it's inhabitants? The cycle of violence the Imperium is all too happy to perpetrate and allow to continue well endless be the steel boot upon the neck of it's slave-citizens.
If the Imperium Invested in Dirtside it would be a Paradise like Ciprex IV |
