CAWDER CRUSADE BURNS WICHES!

Theolphilos and his "Penitent Ones" from the normally troublesome House Cawdor have done a GREAT SERVICE to the loyal citizens of Dirtside!
Launching their "Crusade" into Zone 7 the Penitent Ones attempted to rob the DESPICABLE so-called "Natives" warband of the "Seven Skinners". The Seven Skinners were reportedly sneaking up on the Slag Heap Slag Furnace, bringing broken weapon a refuse to rework into crude weapons, when the Penitent Ones intercepted. The COWARDLY Skinners barricaded themselves into a collapsed dome as Theolphilos and his warriors closed in. All was going to plan, say local reports, until the insane "Chief" Nashoba "Pyrr Cat" SHOT HIS OWN WARRIOR - a despicable act of treachery of the sort that the "Natives" are known for. Of course, while devout, House Cawdor are unfortunately known to be stupid and so were unprepared for the destruction of the doorway and were forced to clamber across. The dilapidated ruins at ground level suited the Skinners fine as they launched a counter-ambush on the Penitent ones, with Taheton "Spirit Talker" leading a counter-attack that saw Nicephorus cut down by VILE MAGICKS! The unwashed, ignorant Cawdor are also known to be cowardly and easily panicked and were sent scurrying from this abomination. To the credit of Theolphilos, he understood his duty to the Emperor and, ignoring their initial plan to rob the so called "Natives",  instead gave themselves to HOLY SLAUGHTER, purging the witches from the Renegades' ranks. Both the vile witches in Taheton and Ahote Dead Rat were purged by Theolphilos. While this was happening, the renegades on the other side of the fallen walkways continued to snipe the Penitent Ones. "Badskin" Bob, a notorious native guide turned renegade, shot one of the Turkos brothers off a gantry, sending him plummeting to the ground where his fuel tank erupted leaving him with severe burns and broken bones that would have killed him if not for Honest Hans' surgery. 

The Penitent Ones were not competent enough to drive off the Seven Skinners, but they did cripple the warband. The remaining Seven Skinners settled in Slag Heap, claiming it for themselves.  Of course with their casualties, any true band of warriors and not a band of unwashed rabble will have no trouble finishing them off.

(RESULT: The Seven Skinners take The Slag Heap gaining 3 Reputation, 1 XP per surviving warrior, 50 Credits and 1 new Brave. The Penitent Ones lose Slag Heap, gain 1 Reputation, 1 XP, 30 Credits and 1 new Juvie from their Hideout).
